There may not be a huge economy like in other games, but players still trade items with eachother to help eachother out which does lead to a small economy. There is no incentive for the Sean to fix the bug past making the game harder for end game characters.

It may be gamebreaking but unless you write an AHK script, which I did, then it takes a long time to perform it to a viable degree, plus you need to reach the point in the game that you can get the required parts to do it. Its a single player game, why should a glitch that actually makes harder parts of the game viable in single player be fixed? There is no economy past trading with the NPC's which is pointless when you gather all the materials anyways.
